Elizabeth Welch Golove, DC

Chiropractor, Owner
Elizabeth adjusts people of all ages, from infants to seniors. She greatly enjoys being a part of the healing process of those she serves and has a strong passion for working with families, especially pregnant mothers and infants. Her gentle approach is a very safe and effective tool for recovering from stress, healing from injury and expanding well-being. She has an extensive "bag of tools" and works extremely well with people who have physical or chemical sensitivities.
Prior to becoming a chiropractor, Elizabeth coached women's competitive gymnastics for 14 years and taught all levels from beginners to national competitors. She incorporates her knowledge of biomechanics, stretching and fitness gained from gymnastics into both her practice and her teaching of chiropractic. She now adjusts athletes of all shapes and sizes, from ultra marathon runners to 12 year old soccer players.
Elizabeth graduated with honors in 1998 from Life Chiropractic College West in Hayward, California where she now teaches part time. She utilizes a combination of chiropractic techniques incorporating light force and gentle structural adjustments. She currently practices the Bio-Geometric Integration approach and is a member of the Bio-Geometric Integration teaching staff. She has studied extensively with the Motion Palpation Institute and is certified in Network Spinal Analysis. She designs and teaches adjusting seminars for practicing chiropractors and chiropractic students on an ongoing basis with an emphasis on gentle Diversified adjustments that are safe and honoring to the body. Her love of chiropractic and passion for teaching inspires excellence in her students.
Elizabeth has organized and run multiple volunteer chiropractic clinics overseas, working with refugees and impoverished communities in Albania, South Africa, Kenya and India. She has also volunteered on projects in Mexico and Brazil where she served hundreds of underprivileged children and adults. Her most recent trip was to Eritrea where she adjusted in extremely poor communities in conjunction with a project intended to bring wind energy to villages without electricity. She hopes to do more volunteer service in the future. She is proud to be an Oakland native.
